I produced a track which conveyed a sense of conflict between dark and light sounds. I visualised the track, marking each specific sound over the duration of the track.
I then had the track manufactured to 12” vinyl format and deigned the packaging for the product taking inspiration from the data visualisation from the music.
The outer sleeve had the visual laser cut from the sleeve as well as an inner sleeve that was screenprinted. The laser cut sleeve showed through to the silver inner sleeve giving an exciting effect, demonstrating a conflict of information and dark and light shades which strengthened the theme. Finally a supporting double-sided poster displayed information about the product, including dimensions, manufacturing details and track information.
